Aims:

This half day course is designed for personnel who work at heights and are required to wear/maintain & inspect harnesses. This training course will add to the competency of an indvidual to do the statutory inspection of Harnesses, Lanyards and Connectors.

Legislation governing Working at Heights Distinction between Fall Arrest, Fall Restraint & work positioning Suitabiliy and selection of different systems Examination, Care and Maintenance of Equipment Practical wearing of Fall Arrest Equipment Risk assessment & Method statments for Working at Heights Learning Outcomes At the end of this course learners will; *understand the difference between fall arrest, fall restraint & work positioning *have knowledge of certification of conformity and accessories registration *have a method of inspection and rejection criteria for safety harness and lanyards *have knowledge around the suitability and selection of different working at height PPE *have demomstrated how to don their harness *added to their competency to enable them to do the statutory inspection of their harness, lanyards and connectors
